Open Source Development Lab (OSDL) hace una encuesta abierta para hallar las fuerzas y debilidades en lo que a Linux se refiere, en el ultimo link se hallan los pdf’s de los resultados y en los otros links las respuestas a las respuestas abiertas.

Una buena encuesta y a mi ver un buen posicionamiento en lo que a Linux en el desktop se refiere , creo que no hay muchas sorpresas, todos sabemos que todavia le falta en algunas partes, principalmente la interaccion con hardware y software diseñados para Windows, pero se ve un buen y rapido avance y si se compara la linea de tiempo que lleva el desarrollo desktop en Linux comparado a otros entornos graficos, se ve un buen futuro a corto plazo.
